Our second Summer Institute was held in the summer of 2009 (August 1-9), also on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a somewhat larger and more diverse group of selected faculty members. Again our joint efforts exceeded our expectations. We are currently working with all of the faculty participants to support their teaching of courses in the current or coming academic years that incorporate key elements of our approach to student-centered discussion. We are also working with them on conducting off-campus Public Discussions of one or more of our Discussion Reports.
