Our second Summer Institute was held in the summer of 2009, also on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a somewhat larger and more diverse group of selected faculty members. Again our joint and developmental efforts exceeded our expectations.
In the following academic year (2009-10) and in following years, we collaborated with–and are continuing to collaborate with and provide support to–these faculty participants in teaching courses that incorporate key elements of our approach to student-centered discussion. We are also working with them on conducting off-campus Public Discussions of one or more of our Discussion Reports.
