NCDD 2014: Democracy for the Next Generation

NCDD green_logoThe National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation (NCDD) is coming to the DC area this October 17-19 (Fri through Sun) at the Hyatt Regency Reston. The conference will bring together 400+ of the most active and influential people involved in public engagement and group process work across the U.S. and Canada.

We’re excited to be sponsoring the conference this year and we’re pleased to extend a discounted registration rate of $350 (rather than the current rate of $450) to anyone in our network.  If you are interested in attending at this discounted rate, please send an email to IF Fellow Pete Shively to request the promo code for registration and include a brief statement explaining your connection to the Interactivity Foundation and how you plan to benefit from this conference.

NCDD has held unique, engaging biennial conferences for leaders and up-and-comers in dialogue, deliberation, and public engagement since 2002. In the past twelve years they’ve brought together more than 2,500 people from dozens of countries. If you’re new to NCDD, you can learn more at www.ncdd.org.

This year, featured plenary speakers include David Mathews, President of the Kettering Foundation, and Grande Lum, director of the Department of Justice’s Community Relations Service. You’ll also enjoy NCDD’s popular “D&D Showcase,” over 40 workshops led by leaders in this field, a panel on gamification, and an innovative field mapping activity.

If you’re interested in being immersed in the best of what’s happening in public engagement, community problem-solving, and arts-based dialogue, please join us! NCDD conferences are wonderful opportunities to share your work, meet new colleagues, and be inspired by the latest innovations in this field.
