Position Overview
The Interactivity Foundation (IF) is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Director of Communications & Marketing to lead and implement organization-wide strategies that strengthen our public presence and deepens engagement with our mission. This full-time, remote role is ideal for a strategic thinker and hands-on generalist who thrives in a mission-driven environment and is skilled across content creation, storytelling, digital engagement, marketing strategy, and public relations.
You will serve as both a thought partner and a tactical driver—someone who can move fluidly between big-picture strategy and day-to-day execution. You’ll shape and grow the communications function as a critical engine of impact: building campaigns, telling powerful stories, crafting digital experiences, and managing outreach that elevates IF’s role as a leader in collaborative discussion and civic engagement.
This is not a siloed role. You’ll collaborate across teams and with external partners to connect IF’s vision to diverse audiences—from educators and civic leaders to the broader public. If you’re a systems-minded communicator who thrives on both strategy and implementation, and you’re excited to work at the intersection of democracy, dialogue, and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Interactivity Foundation

Our mission is to bring people together in meaningful discussions that expand imagination, build social trust, and improve the discussion skills necessary for meaningful democratic engagement.

For decades, IF has supported democratic discussion by developing innovative discussion tools, providing facilitation resources, and advancing collaborative intelligence in classrooms, communities, and workplaces. IF envisions a society where everyone has both the opportunity and the skills to come together in productive dialogue to co-create the communities they want to live in.
