Apply to Become an IF Discussion Club Host

July 6, 2026

What IF…

a group of friends, neighbors, or coworkers gathered to have meaningful discussions about topics that matter for their communities?

The Interactivity Foundation is exploring this question by launching discussion clubs across America. If you are interested in hosting your own club, please apply at the link below.

How does it work?

Once a month, discussion clubs meet to explore a topic that is meaningful to their community. Think of it as a book club, but without the book. We provide the topics and conversation cards to help the groups get started. Each discussion club is made up of the same 6-12 members with a designated host. The host will set up the event and share the topics with their club each month.

What are the monthly discussion topics?

  1. We the People
  2. Childhood
  3. Food
  4. Immigration
  5. Purposeful Living
  6. Loneliness
  7. Masculinity
  8. Death & Dying
  9. Mental Health
  10. Art & Society

Who can be a discussion club host?

You can! We are looking for hosts who reside in the United States and are able to organize and lead monthly discussions for roughly a year. You can repurpose an existing club, team, or group. Hosts can also bring together neighbors, colleagues, or friends to create a new discussion club. Clubs can be located anywhere in the U.S., but they must be in-person. Hosts are awarded $1,000 stipends to use for food, transportation, childcare–or however they want to support their discussion club.

Why do it?

Your discussion club will be part of a national movement to build social connection and trust through having meaningful conversations. Hosts also get basic facilitation training and will be part of a wider network of hosts.
