Fellows Collaborate to Bring IF’s Online Training Abroad

computerIn recent years IF has migrated many of its operations to online platforms.  As a non profit, efforts began as cost saving measures.  Now, video-conference platforms, merged calendars, communication via social media platforms is just as efficient as effective.  Outside of interoffice exchanges, IF has started doing sanctuary projects, public discussions, and some educational training support online.

Along these lines, IF Fellows Mark and Ieva Notturno traveled to Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK last November to meet with faculty members from Newcastle University and Northumbria University.  During the trip they explored the possibility of the IF Fellows conducting their first online training program for faculty.  If  the schools proceed, training modules will be created to teach university faculty how to use the IF student-centered discussion method in their live courses. Additional meetings at each respective university will take place in January 2015.
