Through a friend, I recently learned about this new film and upcoming community engagement campaign (to launch in February):  Food Patriots.  The website (preceding link) features a fun, sometimes quite funny, trailer for the movie:  The story is personal.  It shows one family’s first steps into the food movement.  It starts in a family’s backyard and goes across the country in search of “Food Patriots.”The completed film runs 74 minutes, and many of the best moments unfold in Madison.

The Wisconsin Film Festival has selected the film for an official Wisconsin premiere during the opening weekend in April, and Wisconsin Public TV will air Food Patriots after the festival.  The producers are looking for personal referrals and for bookings that will put this film in front of large organizations.  See the Food Patriots website for more information.
