IF Fellow Adolf Gundersen’s brief essay, Neither Star Nor Gypsy: How I Found Happiness Outside of Academia, appears in the July 2016 edition of Political Science & Politics. It is Gundersen’s contribution to a seminar on political science PhD’s careers outside of academia. Gundersen compares his work at IF favorably to his previous academic experience and suggests that the comparison raises important questions for political science graduate students and departments alike.
