I found this New Republic Article, The Farm Bill Still Gives Wads of Cash to Agribusiness. It’s just sneakier about it, very interesting. I especially like the discussion later in the article of the “submerged state” and how tax expenditures are so much more secretive, harder to uncover, and dislodge than other forms of government transfer payments.
