Eric Schmucker

Eric is the Director of K-12 Programs at the Interactivity Foundation. He has a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Governance from James Madison University (JMU), where he teaches a course for the School of Nursing built around community engagement. He also serves as a restorative justice facilitator, a story exchange facilitator, and an Affiliate Facilitator with the Institute for Constructive Advocacy and Dialogue at JMU. Eric worked internationally in Indonesia and Uganda, for a total of five years, focusing on community engagement. Eric’s professional interests include community building through sustained dialogue, community engaged learning, and education.

Eric lives in Harrisonburg, Virginia with his spouse and two kids. He loves woodworking (mostly making sawdust and scrap wood), explaining to his wife why he needs more tools, and thrift-store shopping.
