The Berry Center in New Castle, Kentucky and the Interactivity Foundation have been collaborating on a new, long-term discussion project on Agri-Culture & the Future of Rural Life. In November, we co-hosted a developmental discussion in Lexington, Kentucky. Students and faculty from Berea College, the University of Kentucky, and St. Catharine College came together to explore various dimensions, concerns, and hopes for the future of Agri-Culture. There was a particular focus on the role agriculture plays in building and sustaining community. These conversations will continue in mid-December as we collaborate again with The Berry Center and The Kentucky Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (KCARD) to explore this topic with local producers, growers, and farmers in Central Kentucky.
